Home Office Partnership

Early in 2008, the Home Office published their Violent Crime Reduction Action Plan.

Part of this plan is to tackle knife crime among young people by running a National education strategy.

This strategy is to train new professionals each year for five years, so that they can deliver the already successful Be Safe Weapons Awareness Workshops to Young people in their local areas.

Trainers come from a great variety of backgrounds,  Ex-offenders, Community Volunteers, Police Schools Officers, Local Authority Wardens and many more.

Between June 2008 and June 2009, We have trained over 150 new trainers and they in turn have delivered the workshops to over 120,000 young people right across the UK.

Our target is to reach 1.1 Million young people and we are well on the way.
